Or maybe five??

Whoa.  My right ovary is in super-productive mode apparently.  That makes one of us.

Today I went to the RE and the ultrasound showed five gigantic follicles (at least) in my right ovary.  Dr. T seemed about to panic a little but he relaxed when he saw that my left ovary was way behind in production.  He is going to knock back my dose of Bravelle for the next couple of days, then I’ll do the trigger shot on Sunday and go in for the IUI Monday and Tuesday!  Eep!  I can’t believe it’s happening so fast.

We had to have a rather difficult conversation about the possibility of multiples and whether we would consider reduction if necessary.  This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately since he brought it up last week.  I have very mixed feelings about it, and I really don’t want to start a political debate on this blog.  But let’s just say it’s not a decision I’ll take lightly.  But if it’s something we have to do to save our baby(ies) then I will do it.  Though it would probably haunt me forever.

Here’s hoping we snag one or two.  That would be the dream scenario.  Fingers toes and everything else tightly crossed!
